Bambang Panutomo Distinguished Entrepreneur 2022
Congrats to our alumni Bp. Bambang Panutomo in receiving the Distinguished Entrepreneur award for professional achievement during the 2022 Kelley Alumni Awards Ceremony on Oct. 1st, 2022 at Bloomington, Indiana - USA.

In 1984, he graduated from the Kelley School of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. He began his career at The Chase Manhattan Bank in Investment Banking. In 1990, he made the decision to leave The Chase Manhattan Bank and join Bank Bira's Board of Directors. Eventually, he rose to the position of CEO and under his leadership, Bank Bira became the top investment bank in Indonesia.
In 1999, he went on to establish a group of finance services companies under Malacca Trust, Pte. Ltd. These companies include Batavia Prosperindo Aset Manajemen, Batavia Prosperindo Finance, Malacca Trust, and BP Trans.
In 2013, he established Megatama Putra Sejahtera, an industrial estate township, and launched a cutting-edge sustainable indoor farming company. The following year, in 2014, he founded the BP Peduli Foundation and spearheaded the construction of Sekolah Misi Bagi Bangsa Batam, a school dedicated to providing education for underprivileged students..
In 2022, he was honored with the prestigious 2022 Distinguished Entrepreneur Award.

This morning news was so shocking, writer Budi Darma has passed away. To tell you the truth, this was the most shocking news I have ever had after some time as I remember communicating with him through Whatsapp to ask him how the translation of his book “People from Bloomington” is going. As I have been informed, that short stories collection book which originally written in the Indonesian language will be launched by Penguin Classics next April 12, 2022 and even the pre order has been opened in many internet websites.
