"Kampoeng Djamoe Organik" Martha Tilaar

KAWISTA (FERONIA ELEPHANTUM)

The plant was planted by alumni as a participation and evidence of their visit to KADO.

Kampoeng Djamoe Organik (KADO) was founded by Ibu Martha Tilaar, the wife of Bapak Alex Tilaar, who is one of our esteemed senior alumni. In June 2014, a large group of Indiana University Alumni visited the 10-hectare herb nursery located in Cikarang, West Java. The nursery boasts over 600 varieties of herb species, providing a rich and diverse environment for visitors to explore.

During their visit, the alumni had the opportunity to sample a wide array of herbal teas, each offering unique flavors and health benefits. Some alumni even had the chance to participate in planting activities, symbolizing the strong bond between the IU Alumni Association and KADO.

Overall, the visit to KADO provided a fascinating insight into the world of organic herbs and the importance of sustainable farming practices. It was a memorable experience that highlighted the beauty and potential of Indonesia's natural resources.
